Texas CPA eligible residing in Plano, TX, I am aspiring to change careers, moving from restaurant operations support roles to an accounting and financed-based consultation roles, preferably inclusive of international travel.
Recently I earned a B.A. in Business and Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas. After achieving my Bachelor’s Degree, my educational focus will be towards a CPA and a MBA. During my time at UT Dallas, I presented at Oxford and Cambridge Universities, and have a literary review published in the Oxford Journal, Vol 12, No 1 (2017).
Most recently I served as the Director of Operations Services for la Madeleine, a Country French Bakery and Café concept in the fast-casual restaurant segment. In this role I led the company’s operational support for franchise expansion and new corporate store openings while facilitating general project management, operations support, IT initiatives, training, and leadership development. My most exciting work to date is creating and executing our new store opening process while refining the system for easier and financially targeted execution. Not only do I have fun developing our processes, but also continually learn how to improve our systems.
Before joining la Madeleine, I worked for family-owned restaurant concepts, most notably Blue Mesa Restaurants in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. I’m truly passionate about my work and always eager to continue bridging the gap between operations and the support logistics of the corporate office. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is the final moment before all departments, vendors, and stakeholders come together in the final push to finish opening a store, finish a roll-out, or launch a new initiative. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part. The best part is when everyone in the room realizes their actions, decisions, and efforts have affected the milestones already passed, and are influencing the completion process moving forward.
My wife and I enjoy traveling, especially overseas. Our favorite destinations are Paris, France and Bath, England. I am a member of the Texas Astronomical Society and volunteer several times a year to support local hunger organizations.
